Toddler Bed
So we moved this weekend. We knew it was happening soon, but we weren't sure when. It all happened kind of suddenly. Anyway, as it was with getting rid of Eliana's bottle, so it was with taking her from crib to toddler bed. We were taking apart the crib to move, so why not just reassemble it as a toddler bed? That's what we did. We were a little worried about how Ellie would respond to sleeping in a new place in a bed that was slightly different. Would she climb out of bed and scream until she fell asleep on the floor? Would she have too much trouble with one transition to cope with another? None of the above. She climbed into the bed herself and, once we put her blanket on and turn off the light, she stayed in bed and didn't get up until we got her up. It must be noted that we put her to bed two hours late because of all the things connected with moving and that we got her up an hour early because we had to leave the house, BUT she slept well and didn't fuss at all. I guess there was nothing to worry about. I've been thinking about potty training Ellie, but figured the upcoming move and the impending arrival of her little sister would be too much for her. It probably is. Still, I can't help wondering if I'll decide it's time to potty train Ellie as soon as she runs out of this pack of diapers.
