Chocutt!

Well, if we'd needed any further proof that Eliana is a girl, we'd have gotten it this past week.  She has learned a new word and its meaning faster than any other word to date.  That word is chocutt (chocolate).

That's right; Ellie has learned the joys of chocolate.  She wants it often and in abundance.  Thankfully she hasn't learned the difference between quality chocolate and the cheap stuff.  If she's anything like her mother that will come soon enough.

You can see from the picture that eating chocolate is a multi-sensory experience.  I'm just glad she doesn't try to listen to it.  There are too many creases in ears to clean out.  But the car sat cover and her clothes will all need a good washing.

Eric also told me about a distressing experience for Ellie that had to do with losing her chocolate.  I guess she had a piece in her hand that she dropped in the hallway.  She was unable to find it on her own and started to fuss.  When that didn't help she found Eric on the couch and pulled him up to follow her.  Once they got to the approximate location of her chocolate she pulled his arm down so she could make his hand pat the floor to signify something was lost.  Once his hand found the chocolate he understood why she was so upset.  I think we have a junkie on our hands.
