It was a little bright, so Ellie got to crack out her stylin' shades.
Big cats were next on the list. Ellie tamed the tiger without any trouble. And seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.
This is the small animal house, but I don't remember what she was looking at. I know Ellie really loved the Prevost squirrel. Most of the animals she just watched and studied, as pictured here.
While we were in either the small animal house or the reptile house (I can't remember which, but I do remember the stink that pervaded throughout the building) it started to pour. It rained and rained and rained. The worst part was that you have to leave strollers outside and Ellie's was soaked through. She would have had a very wet bottom through no fault of her own, so we had to get rid of the stroller. The next couple of pictures were taken while we waited for Eric and Stephanie to put the stroller in the car and grab a blanket for Ellie. Amber and I waited in the gift shop while it continued to rain.
Amber found a soft tiger for Ellie to play with, which she did most enthusiastically. She probably thought she shook the tiger's brain too much and cuddled it to make it better.
We tried to go to the bird show, but it was cancelled because of rain. Instead, we put Ellie on the merry-go-round. A great time was had by all. There's even a video. I'll bet you're excited.
Our last stop of the day was with the giraffes. Our curious little girl loves to watch and learn. We were on the second level and watching the giraffe eat. Ellie thought that was pretty cool and kept her eyes riveted on it.
We all had a great time and I think Ellie loved all the animals.

I love how she keeps her mouth open wide when she's excited. So cute! And how cute was that waving of hers? Just adorable!
