Early Independence Day

Now that Eliana is getting so good at walking, she's also wanting to do other things by herself. Climbing is her favorite and she's getting a lot better at it. This concerns me, but there's not much I can do about it. Except maybe pull her off the furniture.

Ellie's most recent foray into doing things herself comes with eating. She's learning to spit and will do it when she doesn't want to eat what is offered to her. That's usually peas. Today, however, carrots were another rejected food. She never rejects carrots. I also tried giving her some beef and she wouldn't take any of that, either. At least, Eliana wouldn't take any until I dumped it out on her tray and let her feed it to herself. She has her own way of letting me know when she's ready to move on past something. The same thing happened with her binky. She just wouldn't take it anymore. Sigh...my little girl is growing up.
