On Sunday we told one set of in-laws about my being pregnant. They are very intelligent people, but apparently we aren't very clear when we tell them I'm pregnant. My hubby started in by saying we'd had an interesting trip to the hospital earlier in the week. He told them it was for an ultrasound and they stared at us for a minute before asking us in very concerned tones what it was for. He said, "To see the baby." They were still confused and so I added, "our baby." A second or two later it clicked and they asked if I was pregnant. Hubby's stepdad then commented on how we tell that I'm pregnant. The first time around we gave them a pacifier and got much the same results as we did this time.
This Sunday we're going to the other set of in-laws and telling them. Hopefully the results will be better. And faster.
