Another New Trick

Just like any other parent, I believe my child to be exceptionally gifted. As I mentioned in my last post, Eliana has been cranking out the new tricks recently. I thought it was cute and brilliant that she mimicked the growl. As of last night, she has start to mimic another thing we do. When I got home from work last night Eric was laughing at Ellie blowing bubbles. It was precious. She came to work with me today and kept it up, but with fewer bubbles. As I watched her I realized that she was not purposely blowing bubbles. She was just blowing air through her lips and her drool got in the way. She likes it when we do the thing where you blow through limp lips and a closed jaw to make a bbbbbb sound (sorry, I can't explain it any better than that). She has not yet mastered the limp lips thing, but she spent most of the day practicing and would blow back at me when I did it to her. If I had a picture or video I would post it, but I don't. Until I'm at the other computer that I can just slide the SD card into I probably won't have new pictures. Things to look for on the horizon include Eliana's first Christmas and her first solid food. That last one is going to happen on Christmas because a little elf told me Ellie will be getting her very own Bumbo chair (not a borrowed one) from one of her grandparents. I think she'll love it.
