My First Halloween

Happy 3 months old to me! In the last month I have learned how to really grip things (particularly Mommy's hair, which she cut to keep my hands out of it), make more deliberate motions with my arms and legs, and support my head and back (mostly) like a champ. My baby hair is starting to fall out and is slowly being replaced by blonde hair. Mommy didn't expect a blonde-haired, blue-eyed child, but here I am! We also celebrated my first Halloween. Here are some pictures to tell you about my day.

I went to work with Mom, as usual, but didn't wear my full costume because we thought it would be too hot. We went to Walmart and picked up a ghost onesie for me to wear, instead. Mom says that as it gets colder the ghost is going to become a snowman face so I can keep wearing the onesie. I'm at work in this picture, hanging out with my buddy Keithan. He's just two and a half weeks older than me, but is still a boy. You can see my displeasure that he is touching my shoulder. Maybe in a few years, Keithan.
After work we went with Grandma Cottam and Aunt Amber to buy me a dress for family pictures in a couple of weeks. I ended up with three dresses, a winter bunting to keep me warm, and a coat for next year. Thank you, Grandma!

Once clothes shopping was done we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Green's house to take a few pictures and let Grandma kiss my head. Mom and Dad didn't have time to put costumes together, so they improvised. Daddy used last year's costume and was Aragorn. Mommy wore her ugly Halloween dress and made her ears grow like magic. I was the cutest little leopard you ever saw.

Grandma Green made my costume for me. We were both leopards this year. Don't we look great together?
Here's another shot of Ellie the Ghost. Mom was just excited that I finally got to wear my orange bow.
After Grandma and Grandpa Green's house we went to Grandma and Grandpa Cottam's house to celebrate Aunt Amber's birthday. Mom wouldn't let me have any cake. Everyone loved my whiskers. But, honestly, who wouldn't? We took several more pictures of me, including this one where I am holding my first kill. This is my favorite toy and we call it the Ellie-phant.

That was my first Halloween. No candy for me, but maybe next year. Now, just in case you forgot how cute I am when I'm not in a costume, here are a few more shots from several days ago when I looked darling. Wait, I always look darling. At least that's what Mommy and Daddy tell me.

Cuddling with the Ellie-phant.
