Nineteen Weeks

Symptoms: There's a possibility that I felt the baby move a second time. Until it becomes more regular, I can't say for sure. Sitting or standing for too long becomes uncomfortable and my body lets me know.

I can hardly believe that by next week I will be halfway through my pregnancy. Crazy! Tomorrow morning is the ultrasound and I am both happy and sad. I'm very excited to know if this baby will come home from the hospital in blue or pink. On the other hand, I've been enjoying the mystery of it for the past few weeks. But it will be great to be able to prepare for a particular gender.

Also, for everyone else's future reference, the Provo hospital doesn't record ultrasounds anymore. I called ahead because I'd heard they had switched to recording in DVD. The response I got was, "Who told you that?" They have an older machine they keep in another part of the hospital that still does VHS recording, but the ones they use now have better images. So don't bring a tape to your ultrasound at the Provo hospital. Or at Orem Community. They don't have one there, either.
